St Matthew's church are seeking a Youth & Community Worker to lead our growing youth ministry, build on our strong links with the local community and schools, and oversee, encourage and develop our team of volunteers. Another School year has passed and the children and young people have enjoyed a year of fun, stories, games and discussions in their Sunday groups. This is a really big thank you on behalf of the young people and children to all the adults who have ministered in the Sunday groups over the last School year, your commitment, enthusiasm and prayers are really valued.

Summer Services and Kids...

During the School Summer Holidays at St Matthew's we like to give our youth and children's leaders a well earned rest, so there will not be separate groups for children on Sunday 1st, 15^th, and 29^th August and they will be in for the whole service. During the sermon on 25^th July, 8^th and 22^nd Aug. a short activity will be available for all ages together, in the hall.

Annual Ride and Stride

The annual Stride and Ride will take place on Saturday 11^th Sept.. Organised by the Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust, this event raises money for both the Trust, and St Matthews. Walkers and Cyclists need to get Sponsors, but enjoy an interesting and varied day out. Stewards signing in the participants at St Matthews can also be sponsored. The Trust is not limited to Anglican churches, so you can get to visit many places of worship outside the Anglican tradition; and with so many churches and chapels - and a Cathedral - in central Oxford, the sponsorship money builds up fast!
